New MIT subsidies available

MKB-Innoveert-1
Exclusively for Small and Medium sized Enterprises (SME’s, or in Dutch: MKB), 3 very interesting subsidy (or funding) opportunities will be made available. Known as the so called MIT program, it funds the internal and external costs for research and development starting from 35% and up till even 50%. It is an ideal way to get additional funding on the costs of a consult from a knowledge institute like the Dutch Optics Centre, TNO and/or TUDelft. In addition, the costs for feasibility research or for joint R&D trajectories are also eligible. The Dutch Optics Centre can help you with the applications. Read more a the website of RVO.

It concerns a yearly program, which will be published in March 2018 (therefore some elements might change) and will be open for submissions as of the 17th of April.

Below a more detailed list of the opportunities:

a. Knowledge vouchers
Knowledge vouchers provide 50% subsidy on the costs of a knowledge institute (like TNO or a university - including applied sciences). The voucher has a maximum costs of EUR 7.500, the maximum amount of subsidy is EUR 3.750. It will be essential to submit your application at the very first day, since this opportunity work on a ‘first come, first serve’ basis..

b. Feasibility study
Feasibility study is a subsidy on the internal as well as the external costs for a financial, organizational and technical analysis. For example; to study the feasibility for a future development and how this can be introduced in the market. Both technical as well as non technical hours and costs can be included. Maximum costs are EUR 62.500, so EUR 25.000 subsidy. It will be essential to submit your application at the very first day, since this opportunity work on a ‘first come, first serve’ basis.

c. Joint R&D trajectory
Joint R&D trajectory with at least 2 SME’s and if relevant other organization receive 35% subsidy. With costs up till EUR 570.000, this can lead to EUR 200.000 subsidy. In some regions of the Netherlands, like in the south, there is a second option available: large r&d projects. With costs up till EUR 1.000.000, this leads to EUR 350.000 subsidy. This specific opportunity opens up at 2nd of July and closes at the 6th of September and is on a tender basis. Therefore we advise you to start preparations for this opportunity in Q2 2018.
