The Dutch Optics Centre (DOC) is setting up a first research program with multiple (10-15) PHD projects and a group of graduate students. The start is planned for early 2018. The major goals are developing new technologies for optical instruments, and educating top specialists in Optics and Optomechatronics.
The research field covered by DOC is broad and covers spectroscopy, imaging, metrology and opto-mechanics.
In the definition of the first research programme we want to actively involve companies working in optics and optomechatronics, aiming at faster valorization of new technologies. Application fields include Health, Defense, Industry, Space, Semicon.
On July 4 we will bring the DOC-partners together to discuss a first outline of the research program; you can give feedback on proposed topics or propose topics that are interesting for your company. With your feedback you have the chance to tune the program to your future technology needs.
